How can you recognize HYP2003 token?

The serial number for the new HYP2003 tokens, , starts with "HS", which are compatible with the new guidelines. The serial number series of the token inside the middleware also starts with "HS". You can check this by plugging in the token and looking at the Token manager or over the sticker on outer body.

According to the new guidelines, all CAs should download certificates only in USB hardware tokens with an OEM Prefix serial number. Tokens issued under HYP2003 should have serial numbers starting with "HS". As a result, I cannot download certificates into existing tokens that are already in circulation.

We can update existing HYP2003 tokens that are eligible for an upgrade to the newer version compatible with Crypto Guidelines 2.0 on a chargeable basis. To prevent loss of existing unused stock, eligible HYP2003 tokens can be reset to the new CSP by paying nominal handling charges.

Used tokens with certificates stored on them may become corrupt during the update process, as the system is designed only to update unused tokens. Applying used tokens for update will result in the loss of the token and update charges.
